At Boonstra Schadevoertuigen, local involvement is in our DNA. Whether it's a vibrant music festival or making the region more sustainable, we like to commit to initiatives that strengthen the environment.
Sponsor Oerrock festival
For example, we have been a proud main sponsor of festival Oerrock for many years. In 2024, Oerrock was completely carbon-neutral. The power supply came entirely from green energy. Diesel generators were on standby, but were completely unnecessary. In fact, the power came from nearby: from the Ureterp Solar Park on the Skieppeleane. With 12,000 panels, the park generates 4.3 megawatts annually - enough for over 1,100 households and nearly 60% of local energy needs. Boonstra is the owner of Zonnepark Ureterp.

The construction of the solar park was a truly local project and local sports clubs also benefited: they received solar panels that now allow them to operate completely energy-neutral.
Provision of damage or salvage vehicles for theme days
Our involvement extends beyond sponsorship. For open days, exercises, theme days or promotional activities, we regularly make damage vehicles or recovery vehicles available. For example, during a recent safety day in Leeuwarden, one of our damage vehicles was used to give a salvage demonstration.
Together we are building a strong, sustainable and engaged region - we are proud of that.
