Buying, selling and delivery

  • How can I buy a vehicle?
Make your choice on the site and contact our sales people. They will take your details and on that basis you will receive a proforma invoice. Upon payment of at least 20%, the vehicle will be reserved for you. Payment of the full amount and collection should be done within 2 weeks. Delivery within the Netherlands is possible by arrangement.
  • How can I make a reservation?
A reservation is considered to have been made when you have received a proforma from us with a minimum 20% down payment. Booking at Boonstra means that you buy the vehicle.
  • Can I sell my vehicle?
You can sell your vehicle to Boonstra. Please fill in our sales form. If there is interest you will receive an offer from us within 3 business days. Were you involved in an accident? Then wait for the process with your insurance company before selling.
  • You bought my vehicle, how to proceed?
Our planning will contact you regarding the payment and collection of the vehicle. Since you, the owner of the vehicle, are often notified by the insurance company before we are, it is best to wait for our call because we will have the details at our disposal and can make arrangements more quickly. We kindly request that you bring the necessary paperwork to the vehicle in preparation (this includes both parts of the registration code as well as the license plate). Depending on what your insurance indicates, we will pay either to you or to the insurance company. We will contact the location where the vehicle is located to pick it up. After collection, you will receive the release certificate. Your vehicle may be picked up by an outside carrier, nothing changes for you. We do our best to pick up the vehicle within 10 business days and settle the payment/clearance. If you have any questions about this, please send an email to planning@boonstraschadevoertuigen.nl.

Payment

  • How can I pay at Boonstra?
U kunt alleen per bank betalen. Het is ook mogelijk bij ons te pinnen, contante betaling is niet toegestaan.
  • Can I pay in installments?
Yes, however, the first part must be at least 20% of the invoice amount. The remainder must be paid within two weeks, also the vehicle must be picked up within that period. We are entitled to charge a storage fee if you do not comply with this.
  • When will I receive the paid deposit back?
VAT deposit outside EU: you will receive the VAT deposit back once you have sent us the Confirmation Of Exit within the stipulated period. You will receive this document from customs when the vehicle is imported into your country. With the VAT deposit outside the EU, we ourselves receive a notification "exit confirmed" from customs. That is when we refund the deposit.

VAT-Deposit within the EU: You will receive the VAT-Deposit back as soon as we receive the fully completed CMR cq transport declaration with a recognizable photo of the vehicle in your own country. Here it is important that the vehicle is recognizable as well as the location (e.g. logo of the premises, location tag on your phone etc.).

BPM deposit: you will receive the BPM deposit as soon as we have received the decision from the Dutch tax authorities. Note: We can only submit the BPM refund if you have sent us the permanent registration of the vehicle within the period of 10 weeks after export. The Dutch tax authorities then apply a decision period of up to 12 weeks after receipt.

We will actively make the payment to you after receipt of the above mentioned documents.

Import and export

  • Exports and BPM
If you buy a Dutch vehicle that still has BPM in it, we can reclaim it when you export it abroad (within the EU). You pay this BPM to us as a deposit and receive it back as soon as we have received the BPM refund from the tax authorities. Please note: this BPM can only be reclaimed by us if you provide us with a permanent registration from your own country in time (maximum 10 weeks after export). If you do not provide us with the necessary documents on time, we will not be able to reclaim the BPM and you will not receive your deposit back.
  • Exporting my purchase
If you want to export your vehicle, we take care of the administrative part of this process completely. We register the vehicle for export in your name as buyer and then send you the documents and vehicle ID with which the registration can be done. For export outside the EU we prepare customs documents and can also provide export license plates, provided the vehicle is drivable and has a valid MOT.

Tax and BPM

  • Do all cars have valid papers?
We have all the necessary documents to transfer the vehicle to you. Should there be any specifics, this will be mentioned at the time of sale.
  • Margin cars and VAT cars
If you buy a margin car from us (only within the Netherlands / EU) you will not see VAT on the invoice as it has already been paid. With a VAT vehicle you will see the VAT on the invoice. We always mention the type of vehicle in our ad so there is no confusion about this.
